PlayNow at Centre of Politics

The elections are looming in the province of British Columbia and it seems the centre of the political storm for those trying to get elected in the province is the British Columbian Canada online gambling web site PlayNow.com.

This online casino pushed the boundaries of politics and betting when the British Columbia province became one of the first in Canada to open their own online casino with a view of ensuring its citizens had a reputable place to bet whilst also retaining money in the province for the good of the people.

The issue of PlayNow.com has come up as one of the front runners for the provincial elections John Horgan said that if elected he planned to remove the PlayNow casino, his actually statement was: “British Columbia needs to focus on operating our current gaming activities in compliance with the law, and restoring trust with local communities, charities and non-profit organizations who have been left behind in the massive Liberal gaming expansion of the last 10 years,”

This issue stoked a fire no one knew existed as Rich Coleman who is the provinces solicitor whilst also being Minister of Public Safety asked where Horgan would get the extra thirty million Dollars the casino generates for use on social and health care among other things in the province.

Whilst this tit for tat was going on others started calling Rich Colemans credentials into question as he is also responsible for gaming in the Province of BC whilst a leader in investigating crime related to the online gaming world thus giving him a conflict of interest.

No one would have expected the PlayNow casino to have such a profound effect on the political world of British Columbia, but it seems that it is currently the most important news in the political world for the upcoming elections.
